Well, I bought the texture my way texturizer this time around, because as we all know in the Nigerian market either of two things always happen whenever you try to repurchase an item you have run out of, either you don't see it anymore or the price jacks up so high that you cannot even afford it. The later happened when I tried to repurchase my curls and naturals texturizer, it went from about 2000 naira to 4500 naira and I was like hell no. I decided to pick out this instead and give it a try.

MY VIEWS ON THE TEXTURE MY WAY KIT
First of all I really appreciate that this comes with a texture control crème, simply because it saves you the money of having to buy Vaseline and like I said in THE RIGHT WAY TO TEXTURIZE YOUR HAIR post this is a crucial step when texturizing or even relaxing your hair.
Over all I will say this is a really good texturizer especially for my ladies with super kinky hair. The price is not bad at all and one was enough for my whole head hence it was a retouch. I left mine in for 11mins and even though the pamphlet suggested that we use combs to smooth through after application. I skipped this step just to avoid story for the gods and I am glad I took that decision. The truth is I went texturized because my natural hair is too kinky but at the same time my relaxed hair is to weak. This texturizer gave me that perfect balance.
I also loved the curl keeper and I can't wait to try the large bottle of it.

Thanks a lot for your reviews on texturisers. I've gone through your blog and noticed you've used curls and natural, soft and beautiful botanicals and texture my way. So if you were to recommend just one which would it be? Cos i'm really scared about experimenting just any one. A little pointers would do.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the nature of your hair as well as the kind of texture you want. If your natural hair texture is fine to medium and you do not want like wavy or really loose curls i recommend the curls and naturals or the soft and botanicals they give the exact same result and also if you want wavy hair or really loose curls go for texture my way. If your hair is really stubborn or kinky i would go for the texture my way instead of the other two and you can follow the timing on the pamphlet to achieve the texture u want. I have medium textured hair so not super kinky or too fine either and I honestly will repurchase the texture my way cuz i want really loose curls. I hope this helps.

ReplyDeleteUpdate! I dropped my commment on this post some months ago. So i went for the texture my way texturiser, application time took 3mins and left it on for 6mins. That's 9mins in total. Rinsed it off and bang! My front, and middle hair is straight! Bone straight o and i didn't even use a comb, it was just my fingers. The other sides are okay. After I applied the other items in the pack and my hair was dried, my hair felt so dry like all the oils were sapped out.
ReplyDeleteSo many people have used it and got back to me on how they loved it, if you really left it on for just six minutes. And your hair is natural and you didn't use any combs. That's a first, but try using a hair mayonnaise, I always do this whenever I just texturize my hair, to bring back protein to it. Also the items in the pack are never enough you must have your own products.
